Dr. Brenda Brockway

Dr. Brockway is the proud owner of Delta Lake Veterinary Hospital. She grew up in Northern California and has always had a passion for animals. Dr. Brockway graduated from California State University in Fresno, CA with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science and pre-veterinary medicine. In 1996, she graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University.

After graduation, Dr. Brockway moved to Oneida County, NY and worked at a mixed animal practice for five years. She loved working with the vast array of farm animals, pets, and wildlife. Afterward, Dr. Brockway started working at a small animal hospital in Rome, NY. Then, in 2003, she bought the practice, which is now Delta Lake Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Brockway enjoys seeing patients and being part of the community. She is grateful that she is able to help pets live long, happy, and healthy lives with their owners. She is also proud to have a friendly, compassionate business, and she loves working with an amazing team. Dr. Brockway additionally serves as a veterinary for Fort Ricky Discovery Zoo, where there is always fun with wallabies, capybaras, and spider monkeys.

At home, Dr. Brockway lives with her husband, Jim. Her daughter, Robin, attends Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Brockway and her family have two cats, Beans and Leopold, a mixed-breed dog, Chester, two Chincoteague ponies, Lucky and Petey, and another pony and horse, Breezy and Taco. In her personal time, Dr. Brockway enjoys spending time with family, riding her horses, being outdoors, and traveling on adventures across the United States.

Holly

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Holly started working full-time at Delta Lake Veterinary Hospital in 2011. She graduated from SUNY Canton in 1995 and has had the benefit of working locally since then. She was drawn to the field of veterinary medicine at a young age while growing up around the animals on her grandparents' farm. She loves learning new ideas and skills as we progress in this field. Her areas of interest include dentistry and laser therapy.

Holly and her husband, Geoff, have four sons. They also have two dogs, Cam and Asher, and three cats. She and her family are very fond of the Adirondacks and spend many weekends exploring and enjoying the great outdoors.

Tess

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Tess started working at Delta Lake Veterinary Hospital in 2009 as a receptionist. Her love for the field grew as she learned all aspects of the job and was able to work with animals. In 2013, she decided to move up the ladder and became a veterinary technician, earning her associate degree from Penn Foster and becoming licensed in 2015. She loves that the veterinary field of medicine is always changing and there are new advancements and options for patients and their owners. She enjoys seeing the familiar faces of customers and treating their furry loved ones year after year.

Tess is married to her wonderful husband, Mike, and together they have two beautiful children, Levi and Alexis. She has a special love for German shepherds, currently having one handsome boy, Timber, as well as one cat, Walther. In her spare time, she enjoys doing CrossFit and spending time with her family.

Morgan

Receptionist

Morgan has been with us at Delta Lake Veterinary Hospital since 2024 as our receptionist and is driven to help all our customers and their furry loved ones. She graduated from Adirondack High School and Howard G. Sackett Technical Center with her technical endorsement in veterinary practice. Born and raised in Boonville, Morgan has always had a deep love for animals and grew up rehabilitating strays and other small animals as well as volunteering at local humane societies.

Outside of work, Morgan spends her time hiking mountains or can be found at home playing and snuggling with her dog, Luna, and her four rambunctious cats, Buddy, Loki, Freya, and Koda.

Jenn

Receptionist

Jenn is a receptionist who has been working with the Delta Lake Veterinary Hospital team for six years now. She is originally from Mississippi but moved here in 2015 to be closer to her family. Jenn has always known she would like to work in the animal field since a young age. She has always been very caring and compassionate towards others, and she is committed to making sure animals get the best care needed. Her favorite part of the job is helping unwell animals feel better. There is nothing better for Jenn than to be able to reunite pets with their families. Getting to meet cute kittens and adorable puppies is not all bad either!

In her spare time, you can find Jenn mainly outdoors. She loves to go fishing in both summer and winter, hunting with friends and family, and going for walks with her new kittens, Judah and Ophelia.

Lisa

Office Manager

Lisa is a lifelong Roman citizen and has been with our office for over 20 years. As a young girl, she would take pictures of neighborhood pets that would wander into her yard and that is when she realized she wanted to have a life working with animals. Her favorite part of her job is getting to see the excitement patients experience when finally going home with their families after a long hospital stay.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and going on high adventures with her family, consisting of her husband, three children, and three very busy grandsons. While she has always loved being a dog mom, she is currently waiting for another right pup to come along. She currently has several pond fish and one cat named LS, who is always inventing new ways to keep Lisa on her toes. If it were possible, Lisa would start each day drinking her morning coffee on a peaceful beach.

Rodger

Hospital Cat and Assistant Office Supervisor

Rodger has been with Delta Lake Veterinary Hospital since 2020. Before joining our team, he acquired extensive training at Meow Tech, receiving his degree in human resources and a minor in culinary arts.

In addition to his prestigious title of Hospital Cat, he has worked his way up to be assistant office supervisor. Throughout his day, he can be found in the waiting room greeting patients and their owners, observing hospital treatments, and supervising the blood chemistry machines. Rodger also enjoys popping into exam rooms to check up on the doctor and overseeing the menu for our in-hospital patients.

In his own time, Rodger’s favorite activities are running through the highest shelves in the hospital and sleeping on his favorite chair in the breakroom. Rodger feels blessed to be surrounded by the people he loves and who love him.
